I believe every person deserves to feel seen, heard, and valued for who they are. My approach to therapy is rooted in compassion, curiosity, and the belief that we are more than our struggles or past experiences. I strive to create a warm, nonjudgmental space where individuals, couples, and families feel safe to explore their experiences, strengthen their connections, and reconnect with their strengths.
As a military veteran and counselor, I bring a deep appreciation for the resilience it takes to navigate life's challenges and transitions. I have experience supporting individuals facing substance use disorders, trauma, relationship difficulties, and significant life changes. I also work with diverse communities, including underserved populations, LGBTQ+ individuals, and people experiencing homelessness. These experiences have strengthened my commitment to providing trauma-informed, inclusive, and affirming care that honors each person's identity, lived experiences, and individual needs.
My therapeutic approach integrates Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and client-centered care. I work collaboratively with individuals, couples, and families to build practical skills, improve communication, navigate difficult emotions, and create healthier relationships. I believe clients are the experts on their own lives, and my role is to walk alongside them with empathy and understanding. My goal is to foster a supportive environment where clients feel empowered to explore their experiences, recognize their strengths, and discover what healing and meaningful change look like for them.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Arts in Clinical Counseling. I am an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC) and a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC).
